I like simple names, because I’ve learned that long ones are hard to live with! My name is Annastacia. Spelled like that. I have constantly had people asking me ’erm...how do you spell that?’, or just misspelling my name. Kids in the playground teased me for having a ’stupid’ name. I have had about five different nicknames - Anna, Annie, Stacie, Cia and Tacey are the ones I remember from high school. Now I’m known as Anna to my friends and family, but I still have to spell out my proper name for a lot of stuff! DO NOT give your kids a long complicated name! Especially one with a funny spelling! It makes their life very hard!
