I prefer the spelling Mordecai.
Some people will say that Mordecai is weird/outdated, etc. But I think its a great name with a cool and modern nickname.. Cai/Kai!! :)

Mordecai is much better than Riley. MUCH.
Dex or Cai will make the name fresh.

Cai/Kai is a great nn! Go for Mordecai. It’s a classic. Riley is a trend and will sound dated in a few years like Tiffany in the 80’s.

Mordecai nn Cai is my favorite. Riley is too common.
