Gritt Phalanx vs. Gridley Phalanx
This will be my first child and the third for my fiance Joe (daughters Yaley and Sia are from a past relationship). We like different, unique, and edgy names and think we have it narrowed down to the two above. We know we will probably receive a lot of negativity but we ask that everyone keep an open mind. No offense but these are bad names in my honest opinion. It’s unique but would you honestly choose the name Gridley for yourself? Would you like to be called Grit all of your life (and isn’t grit a word for soot?) ? I think you should explore some options. Please take no offense to this but you want to make sure your child wont be teased because they have a silly name...Sincerely, Olivier.

Gritt and Gridley both sound so harsh and angry. Phalanx has a decent meaning but is so close in sound to Phallic (having to do with the [removed]) that you might want to reconsider. This comment isn’t intended to hurt, but to help you pick the best name for your child.

If you know the names will get a lot of negative feedback WHY would you make your son wear one his whole life? If you’re already tired of the negative comments just think how he’ll feel!!
