What names do you consider teen mom? Personally, I only think of names like Navaeh, Destiny, or anything extremely trendy as teen mom. But I have seen names like Madison and Leah called teen mom. What does everyone think?

I don’t really classify any names as teen mom....I have a friend who named her daughter Zoe Nevaeh and another whose daughter is Gabriella Nevaeh--they are both younger than 2, and my friends are 29 and 31....I also have a friend whose daughter is 17 and just had a baby whom she called Lucas Garrett....I think the whole "teen mom" conotation is just silly....

Leah’s not teen mom at all. People only say that because ONE girl named her daughter that on the show. Madison isn’t really teen mom.. it just doesn’t age well.

I don’t really think it’s silly. It is a stereotype though, one that most teen mom should (in my opinion) try to avoid.

No name is teen mom that is not a catagorey I am 17 & my daughter’s name is Luna & people call it teen mon you know why 2 reasons I am 17 & gave her the name reason 2 it’s not the name Sophia

I don’t think there are "teen mom" names, but names people don’t like that classify them as teen mom names. That’s a silly stereotype. I have a friend that named her daughter Nevaeh Angel. She’s 34. My niece just had a girl and named her Hannah Elise. She’s 16.

I think what people mean when they say "teen mom names" is that the names sound like something a young, immature person would use. Obviously, not all teen moms use such names and plenty of older moms use "teen mom names". I think it’s a maturity connotation - some names just sound immature, so we jump to conclusions when we hear them.

I’m just gonna take a guess on the Diamond, Ruby, & Emerald question.. I don’t think Diamond is a teen mom name, I think it’s actually a "stage name" if you know what I mean. Rubies & emeralds aren’t as beautiful or as valuable as diamonds. The people who choose that name are usually uneducated or poor & are hoping that their little Diamond makes something of herself.

The same way Star is "teen mom" but Skye, Luna, Willow, Paige, etc. are not. Just a name someone doesn’t like, so they throw that out to try to persuade the opinion of others.
