Would Kara vs. Make A vs. Good Nickname?

After the (mostly) good feedback from our last poll, we have decided that we are DEFINITELY going to use Karen Amelia for our daughter. My husband was just wondering, do you think that Kara could be a nickname? We probably won’t use one (We dislike Carrie/Karrie) but we would just like to know if it would work. Thanks for all the help!

Karen doesn’t really need a nn. If she’s born and calling her Kara seems natural, then do it. If not, don’t.

I guess it could work but Karen is such a short name that it would almost be weird to change it to Kara

Yes, it does but why name her Karen if you call her Kara?
