Am I vs. overthinking ?

Hey! I’ve posted on here before finding the perfect names for my bb twins and now that the names are set I’m starting to second guess. The names are Cairo Grayden and Caige Gabrian. I love both the names dearly but Cairo is honoring my grandmother because she loved Egypt but Caige doesn’t have a special meaning. Do you think he will feel left out in the future? Should I find another short C name that has meaning behind it ? Can you suggest some ? I was thinking honoring my grandfather who loved space and astrology or maybe honoring my dh greek heritage or maybe another city name? Do you know any short C names from any of those themes? Or am I just overthinking things and should just leave his name Caige Gabrian? Please help! The middle name stays if you suggest any new names.

Yes, you are over thinking. I doubt he will feel left out, but if you are concerned, change his middle name to be in honor of someone.

I kind of like your idea of naming one after your grandfather’s interests. Maybe Carl, after Carl Friedrich Gauss - only one of the most amazing mathematicians and scientists of all time!

Cairo and Canon are cute together if you’re not 100% set on Caige

I agree, I think you are over thinking it. I like the pp’s suggestion of Cairo and Canon.. I’ve never been a huge fan of Caige. You could do Cairo Grayden and Gage Cannon (reversed initials instead of two C names). GL!

Canopus is the second brightest star seen from either and was named either for an ancient city in northern Egypt or the helmsman for Menelaus. Capella would also work but I don’t know if that sounds too girly.

*Oops, 4th poster here. I didn’t see your last sentence about Gabrian staying. I think Cairo Grayden and Cannon Gabrian would be cute. GL!

5th poster again- I also found Caelum as a constellation name! I think that would be a good match! It’s actually pronounced SEE-lum, but I like Kay-lum much better.

I like Caelum quite a lot and Canopus.

Good! I’m glad you like them, but don’t stress too much over the names, just use what you like. I’m glad you like Grayden, I gave you that one too! ;) --5th poster

Really ? Well thank you I loved Grayden! Do you think it would be too far out to pn Caelum like Salem ? So that it sounds like the city but still begins with a C and still honors my grandfather
