I Love Andrew/Drew, William/Will, Samuel/Sam, and Thomas. I think they’re all classics with darling nns, and I never get tired of them.
They’re all names that will be great on your little one as a boy and a grown man.

I also like Grant, Brooks, and Miles, just not quite as much. I do think they’re less popular if that helps.

Issac and Jacob are fine names, just not favs of mine for no real reason.

I love Nate, but I’ve never like Nathaniel.

Ross and Anderson are the only two I just don’t like.
I find Ross just kind of wimpy and dated, and Anderson just seems random to me.
I do like Anders.

I like all of the first names I mentioned over Joshua, and I think all your choices work with Stephen.

Samuel would be my least fave.It’s a nice name,I just don’t care for the double S when paired with Stephen.

First, I’d pick Samuel Stephen followed by Andrew Stephen. I think Nathaniel Stephen sounds fine, but I just have never liked Nathaniel or Nathan or the nn Nate. I agree with the poster who mentioned that first names ending in -s wouldn’t work with Stephen as a middle name.

Forgot to add... I think Joshua Stephen also sounds good. But all this working on boys’ names, I’ll bet you’ll have a little girl. :)
