Leilani vs. Leila vs. Leia
What are your thoughts on these names? Do the double Ls make them tongue-twister names? Leilani is prn "lay-LAH-nee" and is Hawaiian. It means "heavenly blossom." Leila is prn "LAY-luh" and is Persian. It means "dark-haired beauty" and "night." Leia is prn "LAY-uh" (like star wars) and is Hebrew. It means "weary." I don’t care too much about the origins/meanings, but thought I’d add them in. Thanks for your help!!
The Top Baby Name is...

I felt Leila Lafferty was the least of the tongue twisters. Beautiful names though. Might have to see your baby to decide which fits her best!

First poster, thank you. I worry so much about the names being tongue-twisterish...I mean, it keeps me up at night! LOL!
We like Lincoln for a boy...I’m just so nervous that the double Ls are going to cause issues. Although, my name starts with an L and it doesn’t sound too bad (but, I married into the last name so I really didn’t have a choice!).
Yes, I’m well aware that I am rambling! Sorry.
Second poster, thanks for the suggestion, but I prefer the "lay" sound to the "lee" sound :)

Thanks 4th poster! I like them all. Leilani is a bit more exotic while Leila is a bit more elegant/timeless. Leia is probably my least favorite, but I like it b/c it only has one L as opposed to 2.
I’m glad you don’t think it’s tongue-twisterish. I just imagine people seeing/hearing the names and thinking "wtf were his/her parents thinking?!?!?"
Fifth poster, that’s a cute name :)
