Henrietta (Hattie) vs. What do you think? vs. Middle name ideas?

Ok I know it was not the most popular name on our poll but every time I say Henrietta I get a smile on my face, and I don’t get that with the other names, so I think it is the name. So we are thinking we are going to go with Henrietta with the nn (Hattie). Our first daughter is Gretchen Sidney but we call her Greta. We are hoping to find a name that fits with her name and we think it works really well. We were wondering what you think of the name. We were also wondering if you have any middle name ideas for us. Thanks Alese

Henrietta Brooklyn ... Henrietta London ... Henrietta Paris ... Henrietta Charlotte. I think it would be cute to give her a city name since you have Sidney.

I think Hattie is a cute nn and the name obviously brings you joy and feels right! I think it’s a good choice. Because the first name is 4 syllables, I would go with a 1-2 syllable middle name (although I’ve also suggested a couple 3 syllable ones that I think could work)

Henrietta Elise
Henrietta Rose
Henrietta Kate
Henrietta Louise
Henrietta Margaret
Henrietta Charlotte
Henrietta Caroline
Henrietta Scarlett
Henrietta Grace

I like Henrietta Kate and Henrietta Charlotte. I also like the idea of using a city name but Paris, and Brooklyn are too modern for me. Do you have any other ideas that might be a little less modern?

I love Shelby and Laurel. Do you know if Avalon said (ave-ah-lon) or (Ava-lon)? Thank you so much.

Your welcome Alese! I am pretty sure it can be pronounced both ways but I sorta like ave-ah-lon!

I think Avalon is with a short a (ah instead of ay)

I Adore the name Hattie.

Not a giant fan of Henrietta, but if you love it, go for it.

Hattie and Greta are adorable together.

I am Not a fan of place names, unless the place has special meaning to you.

Otherwise, I find them random and not terribly classy-sorry.

I would pair Henrietta with something classic and simple.

Claire, Kate, Eve, June.....
