Suri vs. Yes vs. No

I Love the name Suri but am scared to use it because of Suri Cruise. She would not be named Suri because of Suri cruise but after my friend that just died of cancer. Her name was Suria. Do you think everyone would ask if she was named after Suri Cruise?

I think a better question is why do you care so much what random people think? If the name is important and meaningful for you then use it.

If they say, ’Aw cute name, was she named after Tom Cruise’s daughter?’
You say/ snap back (depending on how you’re feeling!), ’No, she is named Suri after my dear friend Suria who sadly passed away from cancer not so long ago.’

Problem solved.
