Bobert vs. Yes vs. No

Hi guys! I am having a baby boy in a couple of days. I am going to name him Bobert because I want to call him Bob, and I hate when people name a boy Robert and call him Bob for short because you don’t get Bob from Robert, you get Rob from Robert. So, what do you guys think of Bobert?

I completely understand and agree with your views on the nn Bob for Robert, but Bobert come on. Don’t do that to your child!

Bobert is a GREAT nickname for Robert...knew a kid who called his little cousin dude named Robert Bobert...cool kiddooos nickyname!

Bobert is silly! I was never a fan of the name Robert or Bob either. But my husband and I had a baby this year and while I was pregnant he suggested the name Robert I said no at first but the name grew on me and we ended up naming our baby Robert. I don’t regret it at all! I planned on calling him Robby or Bobby but we call him Bob most of the time it just seems to fit our little guy. We even call him Bobert sometimes while at home but we are just being silly when we do that. Don’t name him Bobert if you like the name Bob name your baby Robert.

I agree with you hate when people who are called Rob change their name to Bob,
