How would vs. you spell Rylan vs. for a girl?

Hi there! My husbands is Colton and my name is Kaycee. We have one son Adam Cooper(3). We are expecting twin girls in October. One little girl will be named Sara-Jo, and her sister will be Rylan. How would you spell Rylan? We have only seen the spellings Rylan and Ryland. Should we stay with the original spelling? Thanks, Colton, Kaycee, Adam, and the twins.

I’m not fond of taking boys names, terrorizing the spelling, them putting it on a girl. My husband and I are considering Rylan/Rylen for my son. We wanted to use a family name, Elliott, but so many parents, for whatever reason, wanted to name their daughter this. I’m very upset right now...I don’t want to keep changing my son’s name in fear that he/we will know a girl with the same name as him.

I have never heard the name on a girl or boy until a few weeks ago. I met the most precious baby girl and her name was Rylan. My husband and I fell in love! I would use it on a boy too.

Rylin/Rylen Christina is cute.

Look it up its unisex not a masculine name for the pp. But for your son Elliott Rylan/Ryland would be a nice name just go for it.

Rylan is a boys name. You should pick a feminine name especially since you already have a son. Rylin makes it even worse. You can’t make a cat a dog, no matter how much you dress it up.

LOVE Rylan on a girl! It’s always sounded very feminine to me.
Rylin is a cute, girly spelling :) Rylin Christina is so cute! GL!

No wonder the world is falling apart...I missed the memo on why women want to give their future woman a male name. Not just Rylan, but any other male name. It’s almost cruel.

Rylan is NOT a male name. Look it up. It’s definitely unisex.

Love it on a girl, I agree that it sounds feminine and I don’t really understand why you would consider it a boy’s name.
Rylan/Rylin Christina is gorgeous! GL!

I felt the same way about Riley. I had never heard it and called my belly Riley for weeks. When her gender was finally discovered we gave her Ryleigh as her mn:)

As I said before it’s unisex maybe the mom’s that are worried about thier son sharing a name with a girl should stop shopping in the unisex section. Or realize if he is boy enough it doesnt matter. I know very masculine males named Kelly, Ashley, Tracy, and Lynn. RIP Leslie Nielsen who shared a name with a few females too. Get over it.

I wouldn’t spell Rylan any way for a girl. But if you’re absolutely going to use it, why change the spelling?

Hi, my daughter is 13 now and her name is Rylen Paige. She loves her name, by the way. :)

Attention millennials! Let's stop taking boys names and using them for our girls. It's not cool anymore. Rylan is an excellent/different name for males. It's wrong that my generation's (Y) parents are attempting to steal this name for their daughters. Please leave it for the boys!
