No, we’re not Jewish although my aunt and cousin are. We just really like the name. The middle name would probably be Thomas after my dad. We would probably call him Hersh sometimes but who knows...nicknames seem to come from odd places in our family!

I LIKE IT!!! I LOVE the nickname Hershey... Its very nice. I would probably spell it Hershel because most people will end up pronouncing it right that way. Also, that is how most people would spell it. Its very nice! The only thing I would worry about it is... (SORRY TO DO THIS TO YOU!!!)...
The Her- part... thing of some words with the beginning her-.... IM SORRY! IF YOU LOVE IT, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TO USE IT! Use it! For me? Hershel Thomas sounds lovely, imo. Another suggestion is Hershel Craig. (Also, thank you for answering my poll about names with the nickname Suzie)

Herschel with a "c" looks more complete to me. I think it’s a great name whether you’re Jewish or not. GL.
