Middle names for vs. Cassidy (boy)
Posted this earlier and didn’t get much response-- I need middle names for my son! His name will be Cassidy, which means curly-haired and is of Irish origin. I know that this name is unisex and mostly used on girls, so I’ll need a strong and masculine middle name, but a unique and not overused name would be nice. Thanks guys :)

Although, I strongly suggest it. My brother had a name like Cassidy... "unisex", but mostly used on names. It was so bad, that he legally changed it as soon as he could! He made us all promise to never say it EVER again... when my younger sister did "as a joke", he stopped talking to her! That was 2 years ago, and still hasn’t talked to her... doesn’t my family seem like such fun!?

I commented on your original post. My husband’s name is Cassidy and I think it’s great. He’s quite proud of it and it really suits him. If you love the name, then go for it.

Cassidy for a boy?! Don’t even think about it. It has long gone to the girls. Just think-the poor child is going to be mistaken for a girl! Try Connor,Cameron, Clarence, or Christopher instead.

My hubby has a very old fashioned middle name, so I wont suggest that, but off the first post I like Bennett, Issac, Lucas and Rowan.
And Sarah, my husband has never been mistaken for a girl. I’d have Cassidy instead of Clarence any day.

I hate when people get so set on thinking a name is strictly boy or strictly girl. It's just a construct of societal expectations and in my opinion people who let themselves be influenced by media and other people's opinions....maybe I'll just say bahhhhh to you who fall into that category. I plan on naming my son Cassidy and I say do what you want and don't waste your time asking other people's opinions. It is only yours and your partners that should matter.
