Elektra? vs. What do YOU think?
So somehow, my dh came across the name Elektra. I don’t know where and I don’t want to know. He refuses to have it as a middle name. I decided that if one of us could find a good nickname and middle name for it, I would consider using it. The other name we had in mind before he dreamed this one up was Cara Marguerite, which I like a lot better, but I’d like to keep the peace around here, and it’s his turn on the naming rotation. Do you have any suggestions? Her siblings are Theresa Marie (Tammy), Nina Kathleen (Nina), and Luke Walker (Luke).

maybe he would compromise for Elexa. electra is a greek name. will look for nn’s.

I don’t think elecktra goes with your other lids name at all. What about something similar sounding that sou ds better with you other kids?

Elektra means bright, shining, radiant. it has the same meaning as Clair or Ziva or a lot of names that have to do with light like Eleanor or Lenora or Helen , there actually is a huge amount of names that means light. try to gear him towards those because your other kids names would make this name seem like it doesnt fit in.

I like Lexi! But I haven’t found a great middle name yet. I don’t think that Theresa, Nina, Luke and Elektra go too badly together- not great, obviously, but there are worse combos. But Tammy, Nina, Luke and Lexi go. If I find a middle name we’re going to use Elektra.

I know this was 6 years ago but to be honest I have 4 kids and their names are Tieanna , Elecktra , Adam , and Avery. And I had the same problem with my daughter's dad because he is the one who chose my second daughter's name he wanted it spelt Electra but I put a K in there because I liked the way it look Elecktra and he wasn't mad he actually like it and got used to it and as for her middle name it's Kayleen and I just came up with that right on the spot because I didn't have a name picked out for her same with my oldest daughter I just came up with her name right on the spot and I don't regret it because I love their names because they are spelt differently
