Spellings vs. for vs. "ah-lee-ah"
We have picked out "ah-lee-ah" as the first name of our daughter but we really don’t think there is a traditional spelling for the name. We have noticed that the spelling Aaliyah has become more popular lately but we feel that there are too many unnecessary letters in there. we were thinking of Allya, Aleeah/Aleaha, Aleia, or Alia. Any other suggestions would be helpful! Just nothing to crazy please. Thankyou :)

The only 2 spellings of yours I like are Aaliyah (fave, the BEST spelling) and Alia (cute). Everything else just looks really messy and overly "creative." I suggest Aleah, although I really hate that spelling, but not as much as your other spellings. No offense.

I like Aliyah. From yours, Alia is the best spellings. Aleah is also a nice suggestion.

Actually Aaliyah is the traditional spelling. Look it up. Ppl may pronounce it wrong if you change it too much.

I agree with the Poster before me. Aaliyah is the traditional spelling and if you really want it to be Ah lee ah the 2 a’s at the beginning is what makes the ah sound! Aaliyah
