Rafael vs. Raphael vs. which spelling?

I really like the name Rafael/Raphael. I like the spelling Rafael so the nn can be Rafa (like the Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal), but my husband prefers Raphael with no nn. What do you think?

rafael is my son’s name! but i’m actually brazilian and that’s how we spell it there. anyway, both ways are very pretty
