Can you people stop ruining perfectly good BOY names?
You people think it’s soo cute to have your cute little girl running around with a boy name but the rest of us know you’re a bunch of attention seeking people who can’t just give their daughters a GIRL NAME
Yes, GIRLS NEED GIRL NAMES AND BOYS NEED BOY NAMES!
Terrible parents and people.

Payson... I’ll pay my son to not take out your daughter.
Pay, Son. Pay up, son.
I don’t get this whole thing about the -son names on girls. It has SON in it. Meaning, "son of..."

Geez, what is wrong with parents these days.

Look it up just because a name ends in son doesn’t make it a boys name. Allison, is a good example.

Allison was a male name before it was taken over by the girls.
Maybe you should be looking stuff up since you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about!

I don’t see why it matters it isn’t a very popular name. She will probably the only one in her class

Payson and Emerson are too matchy. Sydney may feel left out. I think you should find another name with another ending (eg. Kendall, Hollis, Paige, Noelle etc...). GL.

Ive only seen Payson as a girl name and I very much disagree with the poster who put no boy names should be for girls because they are really cute boy names that girls have. People like you should not post, if your going to have such a rude comment!

I think it’s cute for girls to have boy names but not so much for boys to have girl names; when girls start taking over boy names it makes it hard on the boys. My poor son Peyton (originally a boys name) is now surrounded by girls with that name spelled exactly the same. At least pick a feminine spelling like Paityn. I was considering Payson for my son. I do however think that people can be extremely rude about your name choices; if you want to be a bully go somewhere else!!!

My son’s name is Payson. I loved the name ever since I heard myself say it aloud. We call him Pace for short and I always get compliments on his name. However, approval from other people is not something that you should seek everyone has different opinions and you’re not going to like some of them. Hence, some people are extremely rude like the ones above.

My daughter is named Payson. We always get compliments on her name. I love that it is unique, but not weird. She's 13 now and has never met another Payson.

My daughter is 16 and her name is Payson. We always get compliments on it and have never received negative feedback. Of course, I don't expect people who don't like her name to tell me to my face, but I don't care anyways. My family has a history of unique names. We didn't intend to be unique, we just fell in love with it. After she was born we learned Payson was originally considered a male name. It just never seems like a male to us.
Oh well, our 19 year old son is "Ender". Even though we expected teasing, it simply never happened. He loves his name, too!
