I love Thijs but only with this spelling. Tyce is okay but part of the attraction of the name to me is its wonderful Dutch feel and Tyce to me takes away from that.

Thijs will never be pronounced correctly, it seems odd. Tyce is a good name though, just my opinion.

My husband is Dutch and I recognized the name Thijs right away as being Dutch. I think once people hear how to pronounce it, there shouldn’t be a problem.

Unless your kid is going to be raised in the Netherlands I would stick to Tyce. Thijs will constantly be mispronounced so save him the hassel.
