Oh dear. If you can’t pronounce it, how will anybody else be able to? Your poor child will spend his or her life correcting everybody’s mistakes!

My son is called Brychan - we pronounce it Bru - ch (CH is like the Scottish CH in loch)-an. And coming from Wales I know of other Brychans who pronounce their name like this. I would say that most English people have problems say his name properly!

That’s my name. It’s pronounced Bruh - ’ch’ like the ch in
Scottish ’loch’ or German ’ich’, and then stressed ’an’. Bruh ’ch’ AN

Hahaha my name is actually Brychan :P I use the pronunciation BRI-can, but it seems like its supposed to be said as Brey-can (according to some Welsh people i know). Only annoying thing is most of the people I meet take while to get the pronunciation right

Bru as in brush, can as in can, BUT with a slight ch sound as in loch (Scottish)... You sort I push the sound from the back of your throat. It shouldn’t be Bri can , or Bri chan ...that’s just cos you’ve never heard it properly. It’s welsh, a welsh king, Brychan of breceiniog, very ancient and Celtic. And tricky for us non welsh to say at first. It’s my sons name. And i love it.

That’s my name too. I pronounce it bruh, ch as in Scottish loch or German ich, then the stress on the final syllable - an. BruhchAN.

Have to agree with it being Bruh 'Ch' an with the ch being similar to the ch in Loch for non Welsh folks.
It's my soon to be sons name. Both my daughters are fluent Welsh speakers and I've received many a lecture off them on how to say it. Including the whole 'If you can't say it, you can't name him it' speech. Thier 12 and 7! Also in my youngest school class they have a toy sheep called Brychan amongst others and its pronounced how I said above :)
