Blaine vs. Blain vs. Blayne

My husband and I really want to name our son Blaine/Blain/Blayne. We just don’t know which way to spell it. We just consider it such a timeless name that would age so well. It’s honestly just the best name we could think of and we are in love with the name. So please help us pick out the spelling we should go with. Please if you don’t like the name in general keep it to yourself because we love the idea of our son having this name. Thanks!

I really like Blaine! I would use this spelling to keep is a classic, timeless name. Blain is just ok and Blayne makes it look trendy.

Do you have a middle name in mind or were you look for suggestions?

I love this name. It will age very well on your son and will serve him well. I would go with Blaine though because it’s just the classic version and there isn’t anything wrong with it. It’s never been to popular but isn’t unheard of. It’s the perfect name. Goodluck with Little Mister Blaine.

As of right now we don’t have a forsure middle name. We have some idea’s but suggestions would be helpful. We are very open to any suggestions but please make sure to keep in mind Blaine will be the first name. Our last name starts with a G so please nothing that will make the initials of Beg, Bug, Bag or anything like that. Thanks again.

I like Blaine Michael but will have to talk it over with my husband. My husband like Blaine Clay and middle name that tend to be shorter. He loves the middle name James but doesn’t think it flows well with Blaine.

Since Blaine is Gaelic, you could always use the Gaelic form of James... Blaine Seamus flows really nice. With a one syllable fn a 2 or more syllable mn sounds nice.
