Meaning & History
Latinized form of Greek ‘Ρεια (Rheia), meaning unknown, perhaps related to ‘ρεω (rheo) "to flow" or ερα (era) "ground". In Greek mythology Rhea was a Titan, the wife of Cronus, and the mother of Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Demeter and Hestia. Also, in Roman mythology a woman named Rhea Silvia was the mother of Romulus and Remus, the legendary founders of Rome.

Rhea is the mythological name. I would suggest taking a look to see if you actually like the myth/goddess (I didn’t take the time to look it up). It also seems to be the most usual form of the name (if you look it up in wikipedia, there are lots of people who’ve had the name).

However, as a biologist, the first thing that came to my mind was the genus of flightless birds... Therefore, I voted for Rhia.
