Amelia vs. Amellia vs. Spelling?

I love the name, but I am not sure how to spell it. I want to be be pronounced A-Meal-ya. What is the best spelling for this? I also like unique spelling.

My recommendation is the traditional Latin spelling, Amelia, which -- for baby’s sake -- is best to use whenever possible.

Amelia is the best spelling, it’s a beautiful name. I’m not sure why you would purposely spell a name incorrectly (ie Amellia), as the child will be correcting people her whole life. What is the point of an extra l in there? I have heard it spelt Emilia, but pronounciation is slightly different (Em-meal-lya)

There is nothing wrong with spelling a name differently :) I know first hand. I prefer Amelia over Amellia, but what about Emilia or Amillia?

i like Emilia but i like the name to sound more like Em- ee- leeahh
