Scotlynn "Scottie" vs. Scarlett "Scottie" vs. Scottie "Scottie"

Okay, so I’m getting some mixed reviews on Scotlynn for a girl. People are saying it sounds like a teen mom spelling-not what I was going for. I personally like Scotlynn. But, I also like Scarlett nn "Scottie." I heard that somewhere too. Or I could just go with Scottie as a first name. Suggestions, thoughts, etc? Thanks so much :)

I really like Scarlett but dislike the nickname scottie but it is your choice. Congratulations.

This is like the 5th poll I’ve seen with "Scottie" in it, and it’s getting old. Scotlynn kind of sounds like you wanted a boy named Scott, but got a girl instead, so you just put -lynn on the end. I’d go with Scarlett, it’s the most professional and feminine sounding. GL!!

SCARLETT SCARLETT SCARLETT! gorgeous name!!!

I would go with Scarlett. I think if you just give the name Scottie you risk people still trying to come up with a nickname for it and calling your daughter "Scott"

I love the name Scarlett but not with the nickname Scottie. If you want the nickname Scottie, I would go with Scotlynn.

Scarlett is a million times classier and prettier.
I’m not a fan of Scottie, but maybe it will suit her....

I think most any names with lyn tacked at the end look teen momish. Like, "ooh, look, I took my boyfriend Scott’s name, and I made a whole new one,"

Not a fan.

I really like Scottlynn... I think it’s pretty and different. Scarlett is pretty too but if I had to pick my vote is on Scottlynn.

I commented on your last poll:) I wanted to name my baby girl "Scottie" after my Father because she was born on his Birthday:) But my hubby thought it was to "boyish" so we went with Katelynn, after my Mother Kate. If I had thought of this name I’m pretty sure I could have talked my Hubby into it:) The Lyn makes it feminine and Scott just makes it adorable:) I like the spelling "Scottlyn" the best and I really like it with Eve. Scottlyn Eve is just a really pretty name:) GL!!

If you want my honest feeback, I think Scottlynn is not at all feminine. Scottie as a nn sounds like a Scottie dog. I can understand the desire to come up with something unique and that putting "lyn" on it makes it feminine, but I really don’t find it to be a cute name. Sorry : (.
