Middle name vs. FOr drake

I want to name my son Drake Slusarczyk, but I can’t decide on a middle name.Nothing really flows. I might just go without one.

I say go without one. Middle names are so rarely used anyway. I would go with something simple otherwise like Adam or Ryan.

Please don’t lose heart. You don’t want your child to feel left out when he and his peers compare middle names, when he completes health-, school- and job-related forms, etc.

You’ve done a wonderful job pairing a stylish one-syllable first name with a more complex, multi-syllabic last name.

My recommendation is ...

Drake Aidan Slusarczyk

[or]

Drake Ardin Slusarczyk

[or]

Drake Edan Slusarczyk

... a one-syllable first name and a two-syllable middle name with complementary meanings.

Drake = English for "dragon"
Aidan = Irish for "little fire"
Ardin = Latin for "fiery"
Edan = Irish for "little fire"
