Hamish vs. Hamisch vs. Haymitch

Saw the name Hamish on a poll a few down. I’m currently reading the Hunger Games, where Haymitch is a main character. I realized that Haymitch is probably a variant of Hamish. What do you think of this name or similar names?

I love Hamish. Not as wild about Hamitch. I don’t think Hamitch is an actual name, derived from Hamish. I think a lot of the names from the Hunger Games were made up by author and not meant to be used by actual people. Plus, Haymitch’s character wasn’t even particularly admirable, if I recall correctly.
