Bella & Blair vs. Yes vs. No

Hello, everyone. My husband and I were planning for three children, but on the third, we recently got news that we’ll be having twin girls. My oldest son is James Connor and my oldest daughter is Ashley Nicole. We wanted the twins’ names to match, but not too perfectly...so how do you feel about Bella and Blair? They wouldn’t be nicknames for anything - we’re thinking Bella Marie and Blair Madison. Thoughts?

I voted no. I love both names individually, but I don’t think they match as a set, because Bella is so feminine and Blair is very unisex.

Hmm. Yeah, I see your point. In your opinion, should I stay ultra-girly or go for more the more unisex option with both girls? And if so, what should the matches be for either Bella or Blair?

Bella Marie and Brooke Mackenzie are SO CUTE!
But, I like Bella and Lucy better. My actually have twin girls who are 5 1/2 named Isabella Louise (Bella) and Lucia Elizabeth (Lucy) GL - twins are such a blessing

I like how they are very different, great idea. I can’t stand matchy twins’ names and I like these a lot. I would prefer Isabella nn Bella though, just to give her more options since Bella is sort of nicknamey. I would switch the middle names though, since Blair and Mackenzie are both more trendy and unisex names while Bella and Marie are more timeless and femenine. Blair Marie and Bella Mackenzie would be perfect.

I think Bella and Brielle are the same style. I think twin girls should have girl names. Your older daughter has a feminine name.

Bella and Brielle
Bella Rose and Marie Grace
Bella Marie and Brienna Claire
Bella Marie and Lucia Martine

or go more similar to Ashley’s name and use something like:

Abigail Rose and Audrey Claire
Amanda Claire and Anna Christine
Christina Faith and Caroline Hope
Julia Martine and Justine Mariah
Miranda Elise and Marissa Eleanor
