Vinley vs. Vinlee vs. Vinly

My husband’s name was Vince and he went by Vinnie. He past away a few weeks after we found out we were expecting a baby. For a month I have known it was a girl and I really love the name Vinley after her daddy. What do you think? Her middle name will be Andrea after her dad’s middle name Andrew.

I am sorry for your loss. I am not a fan of Vinley. I would use Vince as a mn or I like Andrea as a mn but I would choose another fn. GL.

Honestly I think she will get picked on with a name like Vinley. Maybe go with a name like Vienna with nn Vinny.

Sorry for your loss. I think the name Vinley is cute :) I like unique names, that you don’t hear often, if ever (like both my girls’ names). Good Luck :)

I like the suggestion of Vienna. Not a fan of Vinley, sorry. I know it has special meaning for you but it just doesn’t work well as a little girl’s name.

I’m very sorry for your loss. I also don’t love Vinny, though, despite the lovely meaning. The female form of Vincent (in Italian) is Vincenzia, which is very pretty and you could use Vinny as a nickname, or the English version of that is Vincentia. There’s also Victoria, which has a very similar meaning to Vincent (winning) and the same V start.

Vinley isn\’t really a favorite but its still cute, though Vicenzia/Vincentia are also wonderful ideas. I\’m a woman and I was named after a man as well, so I think its very sweet and will be a wonderful name no matter which you choose. GL

Lavinia or Olivia can both use the nickname Vinnie but leave a nice female name for adulthood

I agree with the others. Maybe just names that start with V
Vivienne Andrea? Or think Andrea Vincenzia/vincentia would be lovely.
Or Vincentia Andrea nn Tia would be cute too! GL
