No teacher calling attendance will ever pronounce any of those names "Ah-vun-lee."

Definitely Avonlea, that is the only one I would pronounce Ah-vun-lee (and even then I would use a harder A, like in cat. The other two I would pronounce with a long "a" sound like ay-vun-lee for Avenleigh and Ay-vun-lye for Avenlei.

Yes the "A" sound is pronounced like the a in cat. The traditional spelling is Avonlea but I am afraid no one would know how to pronounce it! Any other spelling suggestions to make the pronunciation more obvious?

There’s only so much that you can do to have people pronounce a name correctly. I have a super common name, and people sometimes manage to mispronounce it. I would spell it Avonlea (like in the book Anne of Avonlea). You could also spell it Avonleigh or Avonlee.
