I also suggest picking a different name. Sullivan, no matter how you spell it, is not in the least bit feminine. Brielle is nice, though.

Sullivan isn’t a girl’s name it isn’t a unisex name and isn’t cute on a girl. You really want your daughter to have the nn Sulli?

Spelling it wrong will just make an inappropriate name look moronic, what on earth is wrong with people, give the girl a name with a little bit of femininity.

She’s just poking the bear with a stick, she wants reactions and the odds that there are any triplets are about the same as her winning the lotto

I would not lie! I AM having triplets, I know it doesn’t happen often although I’ve seen many multiples polls on this site. I do love Sullivan on a girl, but I see most people do not. Her name will still be Sullivan nn Sulli/Sully/Sullie. I was only asking if Sullivyn would be a little more feminine. It doesn’t really matter to me or my husband if it is in the least bit feminine but since so many people don’t like it because of its masculine-ness and the fact that it is NOT a girls name, we tried to make it possibly more appealing to the ones who don’t like our style. Thank you all for stating your opinions on the name, even if they weren’t what we were hoping for, they are much appreciated. We are going to name Baby A - Sullivan Brielle nn Sully/Sulli/Sullie.

And yes, we did because we realized that even though not many liked it, we couldn’t let it go. We obviously loved it so we chose it for one of our babies.

Even if this is a real poll we’ll be answering this question for ’Sully’ in 14 years when she gets herself knocked up to prove ’she’s a woman’

I think Sulli/Sullivan is very sweet for a girl. I’m glad you chose the original spelling, it will make it more simple to not have to correct everyone. I’m pretty sure Patrick Dempsey ’McDreamy’ from Grey’s Anatomy has a daughter named Sullivan. If McDreamy says it’s a cute girl’s name, I say it is too!!! :-)

A "sullied" woman is one with a bad reputation. You’re daughter will be ridiculed and teased. Sullivan is definitely not cool.

To the above poster, firstly the name ’Sullivan’ and the word "Sullied" are two different things. The name being discussed is Sullivan which means dark eyes.
Secondly - More then half the names on here have less then appealing meanings, a perfect example is Cameron (It means crooked nose) Now I dont know about you, but all the camerons I know dont get ’ridiculed or teased’ that the meaning of their name means crooked nose. What a ridiculous point you are making!!

People are so cruel. And their mean-spiritedness says more about them than your name choice! Why does a name have to be one or the other? It's an Irish surname given carried by men and women. I love surnames for first names!!

All things considered, Brielle is fine as a middle name with it.
