A friend’s daughter’s name is Malia Tovah. I have always thought that was so beautiful. They wanted a Hawaiian name and a Hebrew name...I think Malia Tovah worked perfectly for them! Maybe for your friend, too???

Hey as I havent seen the name Malia on the polls before..I was wondering whereabouts in the world you are?
I live in NZ and Malia isnt that common here.One of the reasons I REALLY like the name. Was interested to know if its a common name where you are?? Nothi8ng worse than picking a beautiful name and then finding out there are 3 others in your class with the same name.

well we live in Utah in the US and I havnt really heard the name at all here but my friend lived in Hawaii for a min and I think that is where she got it...I love the name!!!

I also like the name Talia, probably b/c my daughter’s name is Aaliyah and they all have the same sort of phonics. My daughter is Aaliyah Joelle, I think it would work with Malia also.

Yeah I was gonna say it is a common name for Polynesian babies.
I also really love Talia/Tyleah and Anelia as they have a Polynesian tone. My duaghter is actullay the one having the baby and she is half Samoan/European and her hubby is Tongan. I love the Poly names I think they are so exotic sounding.
They have decided on Malakai Sione for a boy now they are just trying to settle on a girls name.
