Kate vs Kayte vs. Katie vs Kaytie

I love the letter K. All my kids names start with K. Kathryn(13), Kaleb(9), Kadence(7), Kobe(3). Everyone loves the spellings with the Y. We really love them but everyone else hates them. Please help.

Well... I like Kate as a name and Katie as a nn... not a fan of the random Y’s.

However, since you have a daughter named Kathryn, I think having a daughter named Kate/Katie would be confusing. Also with Kadence... doesn’t her name ever get shortened to Kady? Kate/Katie is too similar to her sisters names.

Are you open to other K suggestions?

I would think Kathryn will get shortened to Kate/Katie a lot... I wouldn’t use that name if I were you.

I am open to other K names but in a list oif 15 names that was our fav. Kathryn’s nn is Kathy and Kadence’s is Kay.

I agree with the previous posters. You asked about the spellings (I like the traditional spellings), but I think Kathryn and Kayte or Kaytie are just too close for sisters. What about another K name?

I’m a Kate, and people are always trying to call me Kay. I guess Kate isn’t already short enough for them. If it was spelled Kayte, I think that would happen even more. Since you already have a Kay, it would be doubly annoying. How about...

I love Kimberly but I have always loved wanted to use the leigh as the ending of the name so it would be spelled Kimberleigh.

I like Kate, but it is often a nickname for Kathryn, which you’ve already named another daughter. I think that could be confusing.

I have a friend named kathryn and everyone tries to shorten her name to Kate or Katie so I would try another k name like listed to opt out of confusion!!! :);)

My daughter is Kaytlin...Kayt or Kaytie!! I love the Y! I’m not a traditional person so it suits our family just fine!
