Lily vs. Lilly vs. Lillie
Hello we were adamant on naming our little girl Lily. But the other day i met a little girl (who was adorable) with the spelling Lillie. I really like this spelling because it is sweet and fills out the name a bit more. I also like the spelling Lilly because it is in-between the two. Her middle name will be May/Mae/Mai. Please comment on which middle name and first name you think we should use. Thanks for your help.

Lily is after the flower, imo the best choice. Lillie is fine and often short for Lilith or Lillian. Lilly is the only one that’s just wrong, there is no reason at all for the double Ls

I like Lily best because it is easier to find those cute personalized things that kids love with this spelling. My niece is Lilly and I can never find anything with her name on it! Lily May is my favorite combo.

My best friend is called Lily and I totally love the name but I feel like Lily spelt Lily is a bit overrated so I would go for either Lilly or Lillie. I'm tempted to go for Lilly.
