Wren vs. Wrenna

DH loves Wren for our daughter, but I can’t help but think of Ren and Stimpy. He suggested "Wrenna" and I think I like it but I’m still trying to decide if it’s too weird. What do you think? Any middle name suggestions? Thank you!! -Shannon

The name Wren is lovely. I like the name Rina would be better than Wrenna. I work with a woman named Cesarina, nn Rina, and she’s one of the sweetest people I know.

You will get over the ren and stimpy thing as soon as you have a face to put the name to! I think you are just trying to find something wrong with the name. maybe its a control thing? You want to choose the name or something. I was like that with my sons name to because his dad loved it so much. I suggested the name but when he loved it so much it made me want to change it...I dont know I think Wren is a nice name though.

It is too odd for me.

I think Wren is a beautiful name. I’m a big fan of pairing modern first names with traditional middle names. I think these might be nice:
Wren Patience
Wren Michelle (not that I’m biased or anything)
Wren Caroline

How about Wynne nn Wynnie/Winnie?

I don’t think of ren and stimpy when I hear the name, and the kids she’ll grow up with will have no idea who Ren and Stimpy are anyway. I like Wrenna, but I would spell it Renna. I think it’s much prettier that way. And you always have the option of calling her Wren/Ren that way.

Wrenna is my 9 year old daughter’s name. We named after a very wise character in a Tim Robbins book, Jitterbug Perfume. I believe it is Welsh (like Megan, my name) for Wren, which is English for bird.
