Bryer Wayne vs. Breyer Wayne vs. Bryar Wayne

Which spelling looks best for our little boy due September 7th? Our other two kids are Mylee Jo, 3, and Treylen Dean, 1. If you are going to say Briar is a girls name dont even comment. We like it for a boy and the first two spellings I have listed (Bryer and Breyer) are both used for a boy name. Go to Google and look them up before you start being rude on my name choice. I am just asking which spelling looks good with my other kids names, because we cant decide between these three spellings. Thanks, Kaysi.

Breyer Wayne is nice.
I think it looks more masculine with an E.

Good luck!

You’re right. Briar is used on a girl, but your spellings definetly make it masculine. You wouldnt see your spellings on a girl. Bryar looks best to me!
GOOD LUCK

Thank you guys :) This is helpful, since my husband doesn’t seem to care which spelling I use. I like the two spellings best with e’s also.

Don’t know where you’re from, but in St. Louis we have a very popular ice cream brand called Breyer’s---I don’t like the name spelled that way on a boy!!

Lol I live in Missouri too, and yes it is a brand of ice cream here, but also a brand of collecetible horses that I love. My daughter collects these horses and suggested the name to begin with.

Go with the way your daughter suggested. Thats a bond between them already, its special and sentimental :)
Breyer wins!

I feel the opposite of the previous comment.I actually think the fact that Breyer has the same spelling as the ice cream is a GOOD thing.I think that means most people will get the spelling right if you go with that one.
I also like the Breyer spelling best because it makes it feel more like a "surname name" like Carter or Parker for example that are very popular for boys rather than having it feel like a "plant name" like Ivy and Lily that are very popular for girls so since people are giving you a hard time about it maybe that will help stop the comments about it being a girl name somewhat.

I also think of the cream brand when I see Breyer. But I also would pronounce Breyer and Bryer differently. Bryer would rhyme with dryer, Breyer would be closer to Brayer.

Breyer ice cream is also pronounced like Bryer..they both rhyme with dryer. At least that is how I pronounce it, not sure if it is correct, but I know that is how you pronounce Breyer horses which is where we got the name anyway.

My son’s name is Bryer Lawson. He’s 18 now and plays baseball, I think it sounds cool when they announce his name :-)
