Anna James vs. Emma James vs. Elizabeth James

My husband and I have three beautiful daughters, Veronica (10) and twins Mary and Margaret (6). After some convincing, we decided to try one more time for a boy. We’re having another girl. We are still very happy but I really wanted to name a son after my late father. So I want to give our little girl my father’s name as her middle name. I know a lot of people won’t like it but it’s very important to me. So which one do you like best? Suggestions are welcome too. Thanks! - Allison, Dan, Ronnie, Em, Maggie, and baby girl

Emma is too close to Em(I think is what you call Mary).

Its not all bad since Jamie has become a popular girls name and James isn’t to far of a leap from it. No like something like Richard or Wayne might. I actually think Jamie would be an acceptable alternative and they would still know about your father, James. I myself was named after my grandfather (I’m a woman) my grandfather’s name was Loran Daniel, so my name is Lauren Danielle, being given the feminine spelling/versions and people still connect me with my grandfather because our names are virtually the same. Just a thought in case your worried about teasing or getting flak from other adults. Good Luck! :)

I would consider writing James with a Y --> Jaymes.
I voted Emma.

James is a boy name! Use Jamie!!! OR use his middle name.

I voted for Elizabeth James. Normally I don’t like boys’ names on girl, but I think that’s it’s totally ok in this situation. I’ve known several families who have used the father’s name as a daughter’s middle name. You also chose very feminine first names, so there won’t be any confusion about her gender. GL!

Obviously James is a boy name, she’s being named after a male. But it seems a better alternative than Robert.
I do like Jamie better for a girl, I was never really a fan on using James for her but it was important. However, I don’t think Jamie flows very well as a middle name...

I think thats cool ihave seen this before actually. I read someone named their children after their brother who lost his life in the trade centers. Katheryn James, I forgot the boys 1st name but his middle was the first name of the uncle i thought that was awesome
