My-ah vs. Mee-ah

How do you pronounce this name "Myah"... It looks rare and I like unique names... I’m having a girl and I want to make sure what is the correct way to pronounce it... Thank you!

I’d say it My-ah. And honestly, I think its overdone and not unique at all. It’s nice, but if you want rare/unique, this isn’t it.

I think it looks more made up than rare. Why don’t you decide how you want it to be pronounced? If My-ah, then spell it Maya. If Mee-ah, then spell it Mia. This trend of spelling names phonetically and inserting Ys instead of vowels is not "rare" or "unique". It’s annoying, and it screams teen mom.

I’m not sure I understand how Mahia is supposed to be pronounced. I also like the previous poster’s suggestion of Malia.

Maia is pn My-ah
Myah is the phonetic spelling of My-ah
Mia is pn Mee-ah
