Does Milo sound vs. Italian to you?

I know Milo isn’t an Italian name, but does it have an Italian flair to you? Because of the "o" at the end, it does to me, what do you think?

I agree. It sounds like Mario, Massimo, Mio, Marciano, etc. which are Italian names. How do you want to pronounce it? Mee-loo (mee like see)?

I dont like the name at all so I have never really thought about it. First time I heard Milo as a name and not a hot choc drink was when Ricky Lake used it for her son I thought it was a weird name then. Its also the anme of the baby monkey in Planet of the Apes!! Sorry

French sound is more like Masson, Merlion, Marlon, etc. The o at the end is pronounce short like ’on’ and don’t pronounce the ’n’.
Milo has a more Italian sound....I think ;o)

I think of Milo as an old-fashioned English name. I actually really like the name, and I think of a smart, sort of bookish type associated with it.

Nope, Milo is all English to me. In fact it is of English Origin and it’s a form of Miles.

My maiden name is Milo and my ancestors are from Naples. So it is Italian. Island of Milos possibly or it translates to Soldier so maybe an ancestor was a soldier.

Oh and it’s pronounced MY-LO not ME-Lo. Hispanics tend to pronounce it Me-Lo so I always had to correct.

Milo is only pronounced as MY-LO in english speaking countries, but in ever other country (especially Latin speaking countries) Milo is pronounced as MEE-LO. So you really shouldnt be correcting anyone.
