Wow way to be very rude, i stated that we are set on naming our daughter this and you come in to tell me that it isnt pretty. Your comment is uncalled for. I didnt ask for your opinion on the name, only the spelling.

That was meant for the first poster not the second poster. Second poster that is why i prefer Gaia, but Gaya feels more classic.

I personally really like Gaia - lovely and unique name choice :)
I’d go with this spelling, as it looks prettier and I think is actually the original spelling (as in the Greek godess/titaness)

So just to clarify, you’re prn it "guy-uh" rather than "[removed]-uh" right?

2nd poster here - We gave our daughter a name that is mispronounced ALL THE TIME. It is beyond frustrating. I would suggest going with the spelling that is more likely to get you the correct pronunciation. GL!

Thanks you to all of you, Second poster i really do appreciate your opinion because I have a name that is hard to pronounce and I hate it. I wasnt sure which would be easier to pronounce it. And yes we want it pronounced Guy-uh

with the way Gaya is spelled she’ll have a worse time in school with teasing then a normal child would. I’d go with Gaia.
