Billie Middle vs. First Billie

We need first and middle name suggestions for the name Billie, as we haven’t decided exactly where we’re going to use it. We like classic, old-fashioned but uncommon first named and we’re more lenient with middles since I tend to like interesting things or international variants. We have a son named Bronwyn and a daughter named Olive. We were pretty set on Annabel for her twin sister but now we’re rethinking and Rhiannon has taken the lead. It could change at any time, though. Thanks!

I don’t get this why would you use Annabell a clearly feminine name on one twin and a very unisex and not that pretty name on the other twin.

Is Billie for a girl or a boy?

its a girl because they said they liked Annabell for her twin sister.

"We were pretty set on Annabel for her twin sister..."

Why does having one unisex name matter in conjunction with Annabel? Both are our style together. We like classic, old-fashioned, uncommon names and Annabel and Billie are both used in Wales, where we are from (but are not currently living).

If its for a girl I would use it as a mn, b/ Billie isn’t very attractive for a girl. And I agree you shouldn’t use a girly name for one twin and a masculine name for the other twin.

You’re very definite with your opinions, there. YOU might not find it attractive, but obviously we do. You do not get to speak for everyone in saying that it is not.
And Billie isn’t very masculine, not like it would matter. My child’s femininity or masculinity does not come from his or her name.

I like Billie Johanna. Thank you.

It sort of does. Not completely but it does have an impact. And to say it doesn’t is being naive and setting your child up to potential be teased. Buts its your child and if you want to ignore constructive criticism so she will come home to you crying everyday go for it!

You might want to consider what the initials B.J. stand for and think of another mn. Ones that don’t start with J.

Perhaps I’m from a better town where being masculine or feminine isn’t based on what’s between your legs.

Billie is a first name. Decided. Thanks.
