Lily Madelyn vs. Lily Madeline vs. Lily Madeleine

Spelling is again an issue. -lyn has sentimental value, my husband likes -line, I like -leine and it’s the original spelling. We’re pronouncing all three the same. (I understand the pronunciation of Madeleine in French is Maud- lynn, whith 2 syllables, but we’re going the simplified American way and pronouncing it as it would be here, Mad- eh- lynn.) Thank you!

when looking at the name I think Madeline looks the best with Lily

I like Madelyn and Madeline the best, but for pronunciation I think the -lyn ending would be best.

I prefer the Madeleine spelling, but only if you’re going to pronounce it that way. If you’re going to use the Americanized pronunciation, then stick with the Americanized spelling.

Lily Madelyn looks so much younger and fun than the line or leine spellings. GL.
