Although I have heard both, I think the Jillian pronounciation is much more common in America.

I love Gillian I say it the same as Jillian I love Gillian spelling more.

I’ve known a few Gillians in England/Ireland and N. America and all have pronounced like jillian.

JIL-ee-ən is correct but there is no accounting for individual idiosyncrasies of pronunciation

i’m English and i say it as jill-ee-an. gill-ee-an, isn’t a name as far as i’m aware
