Hankie vs. Hanke vs. Hanky

Hay, We want to name our son Hanson but we want a nn for him. But we don’t like the nn Hans or Hank so we came up with Hank-ee but we don’t know which spelling to use for the nn. We will take suggestions for different nn for him, just not Hans or Hank. -Thank you so much! Kim, Jack, and Hanson

I’m sorry but Hanky is horrid some people call kleenex hanky’s don’t do that to your son.

Hankie is really bad no matter how you spell it.It’s what many people call a handkerchief for short so you really wouldn’t want to name your son after something you blow your nose in.
How about Hanson nn Sonny?

Not a fan of the name. I just think hanky panky when I hear it.

I’m sorry but the only thing I can think of when I hear Hanky is hanky panky or hanky (like a handkerchief). Also, if you live in the US, the only time I’ve ever heard Hanson was in the 90’s, they were a very popular boy band.

Hanky like a handkerchief? No. It also sounds really infantile...Hankie wants his blankie.

It doesn’t really lend itself to a nn if you don’t like Hank or Hans. So either call him Hanson or make up another nn you like.

I think of Hanky Panky, which can sometimes refer to sex. It just sounds quite odd and unattractive.

My nephews call their private parts Hanky....just FYI. Not sure if other kids do or not, but that what I thought of right away.
