I don’t personally know a girl named Lucy so I couldn’t tell you I can tell you that I have a brother named Lucas that we call Lucy sometimes.

It isn’t a good name, IMO ! The name is from the 1800s, sorry to say. It reminds me of, I love Lucy from the black and white TV days. Lmao, I wouldn’t name my kid Lucy. But if you like it then try it as a middle name.

All names have teasing potential. A clever seventh grader figured out that my daughter’s name anagrams to E-coli Lil’ Hoe, and it’s a completely normal name. Top 30. Lucy is nice, I’d go for it.

All names have teasing potential if you look hard enough. When I was 6 two girls who hated each other called each other "merry-go-round" (from surname Morrison) and Bell tea-leaves (from surname Bell).
