Lyric vs. Lyric

My husband and I are naming our baby girl Lyric. I know it is unusual but, my husband is a musician and we love the name. Our last name is Moody but we are having trouble finding a middle name that we like. I think a one syllable middle name would sound best. Any suggestions?

Ok, just so you know my husband is a musician too and the name Lyric is cute but it just doesn’t go with your last name. I immediately saw "Moody Lyrics", which is strange, especially for a girl. Have you considered Cadence Lyric?

We were going to name the baby Cadence but, we don’t want people calling her Katy. Her first name is Lyric, we just need a middle name.

I actually don’t think that the middle name has to be one syllable.

I think Melody Noel Moody or Harmony Sage Moody is better then lyric, she will be made fun of in school her with the name Lyric moody.

Actually, I am an elementary school teacher and I really don’t think she will be made fun of for the name Lyric. Kids these days have a lot crazier names than Lyric! Lyric is a beautiful name!

Lyric Moody sounds fine...I think it goes together nicely. Give her a nice girly middle name.

Melody and Harmony Moody do NOT sound better. Those are a mouthful. Lyric Moody is perfect. People will get used to her pretty name and hopefully won’t be too jealous =).

My daughter’s name is lyric I think you should go with the very first middle name that comes to mind. Don’t let no-one make your decision for you they can suggest but not be committing on a negative note. Lyric is a beautiful name. Moody is one of my cousins last name if I were to pick a name it would be lyric sapphire Moody Lyric serenity Moody lyric faith Moody lyric mahogany Moody.
