Michael nicknames? vs. Micah and??? vs. NOT Mike or Mikey!!
Hi My husband wants a junior. His name is Michael Paul. I don’t mind the name or the Junior.. However I dont want to call either one of them Mike or Mikey. (everyone else calls my husband Mike. I have always called him Michael.) Are there any other nicknames for Michael?? I was thinking maybe Micah.. but not sure. Help please. Thanks.

I’ve always liked Cal and Mick as nicknames for Michael. How about just using Micah? This would honor your husband whilst giving your son his own name at the same time. As Micah is relatively uncommon I think people are far less likely to shorten it to Mike or Mikey than they are with Michael. Mitchell is also a variant of Michael.

I thought about just using Micah, but hubbyis insistant on having a JR. but I dont want the hassel of calling them both Michael. I think Micah or Cal are sounding the bast to me.. I think it will probably end up being Micah. close enough to Micahel just dropping the L. I think hubby will go for that.

My sons name is Micah and I constantly get compliments. I agree give him his own individual name hunny! We call my son M-dawg, Micah-man and on the ball field he goes by The Micah-nator :)
