Sorry but I think Britney Spears made it common but is better with a different spelling and would you pronounce it Brit-an-ne rather than brit-ne?

Brittany is a gorgeous name, although im a bit biased (because my name is Kourtney, which is very similar). It reminds me of someone creative,sweet,and fashion forward.

I used to absolutely adore this name.Unfortunately it became super trendy,I think it was mostly in the early to mid 90’s so I think most people see it as dated to that time now.Unfortunately that happens with a lot of popular names.
I think Britney Spears (as well as the ditzy character on Glee) did make the name seem a lot less classy.
It does help a lot that you want to stick with the original spelling,Brittany is a million times better than going with something like Brittnee like I’ve seen some people do.When I try to disassociate the name from Britney Spears and think of the original Brittany as a lovely English place name instead,it gives it a whole different vibe and then I still think it’s really pretty!

Brittany is okay, though it’s kind of a harsh name so I agree that you need a soft middle name. Some other similar suggestions that I like a little better are:

My name is Brittany Joy, my sisters names are Courtney Victoria and Elizabeth Michelle.

My niece’s name is Britney Dominique born February 7th 2005, My best friend’s little sister is Brittany Claire born January 29th 1997, and last but not least, my sister-in-laws name is Brittany Jane born October 11th 1982. So as you can see the name Brittany (or Britney) is a beautiful name for any age.

My first thought is the Chipettes, but they’re cute so it’s a positive.

it’s okay, if you use it stick with this spelling, and i do agree that pronouncing it brit-an-ee would be nicer than brit-nee.
