Rowena is a feminine verison, but other spellings could be

Rowin

Rowan is perfectly acceptable and doesn’t make you look uneducated or illiterate when you spell it. It’s an adorable name.

Rowen, Rowena, and Rowan are all beautiful. I think Rowan looks more masculine, but they’re all great. Good luck.

I love the name Rowan .. i prefer it on a boy though. But the classic alternative spelling is ROHAN

I’m a female Rowan and I get "isn’t it a boys name" all the time, or even just comments on my name - I hate it, I’m thinking of changing it.
