Baby Name Poll Results

My husband and I are having our second baby girl in about 6 weeks. When we found out we were having a girl we announced that her name was Kaia. We chose this name because we both love the name Kai for short but wanted a longer, more feminine first name so we decided on Kaia. Our problem now is, my husbands cousin just had a baby 2 weeks ago and even though we have had our name picked and announced since my 20 week ultrasound they named their daughter Kailynn, pronounced Ky-lynn, not Kale-lynn. They never announced their name until she was born. They are not exactly the same, but very similar. I love uncommon, unique names and having cousins that are 2 months apart in age with very similar sounding names is starting to bother me. So I am considering our other choice we had for a girl, Aria. My name is Mariah and we came up with Aria because its the middle letters in my name. Our first daughters name is Ailey Skye Hiner and her initials spell ASH and my husbands name is Ashley. Therefore, Ailey and Aria have special ties to our names whereas Kaia does not. We just liked Kaia more than Aria. I know Aria is climbing in popularity so I’m hesitant to use it for that reason but now I can’t decide which name I like better given our situation.
