Bennett vs. Benjamin vs. Benedict

We want our son to be called Ben but thought perhaps "Benjamin" was too traditional for us so I was leaning toward Bennett and my husband didn’t love it so he came up with Benedict. Now I am actually re-thinking good old Benjamin...it’s definitely growing on me. Any thoughts?

Benedict = Benedict Arnold to me, so I’d just assume stay away from it.

Bennett is a nice name which is less common or traditional than Benjamin.
It’s a bit difficult to recommend a mn without knowing the last name (or the letter it starts with and how many syllables it has). The flow needs to be just right.

Bentley, Benson, Benton, Benji, Benny. I don’t like Benedict. Bennett is your best choice if not Benjamin.

I like Benson Morelle. Benson James.
BJ Morelle. My brother is Ben, he is very affectionately known as Benny to his mates but he is just Ben, that’s it. It’s a good strong name. GL

I like Bennett Walker and Bennett Noah. I also like Benson as an alternative.

I don’t think of Benedict Arnold, btw, I think of St. Benedict and the Benedictine Rule for monastic life. Sorry. Also, now Pope Benedict XVI.
